FENCOURT BRANCH

SUPPLIERS’ RE-UNIOX

About 30 suppliers, besides guests, gathered at the Hautapu Hall on Friday night, at the re-union of the Fencourt branch of tile Cambridge Cooperative .Dairy Company.

During tin' evening the following founts were honoured: —“The King,” “The Board of Directors,” proposed bv Mr R. Feisst and responded to by Messrs Harbutt and Anderson; “The General Manager (Mr Petersen),” proposed by Mr ,F. Simon and responded to by Mr Petersen. The toast of Mr 11. Cubis (buttermaker). who has lately been successful in prize-taking with the Company’s butter was proposed by Mr Reese. In responding, Mr Cubis thanked the suppliers for their kind remarks and pointed out that if it had not been for the high quality of the raw products supplied he would not have been able to have made the butter responsible for the prizes. The toast of the Fencourt suppliers was taken by Mr Harbutt and spoken to by Messrs Anderson, Petersen, Cubis and Foskett. The opinion was expressed that tlie principle initiated that night by the Fencourt. branch was likely to be for the betterment of the Company, and it was hoped such gatherings would be continued and taken up by other branches of the Company. Presentation On behalf of the suppliers Mr Simon presented Mr Foskett (Fencourt branch manager) with a travelling rug, and in doing so expressed the appreciation of the suppliers of the good work done by Mr Foskett and the interest taken in the Company by him. Mr Simon’s remarks were endorsed by about half a dozen suppliers, by two directors (Messrs I-larbutt and Anderson), and Mr Petersen (general manager).

Mr Foskett replied and thanked the suppliers fur their very kind ift, and 'expressed pleasure that liis services had given satisfaction. Mr Foskett's toast was drunk with nuisical honours. Programme

During the evening songs wore given hv Messrs Jamieson. Lone, Maberlv and Munro; and recitations by Messrs Simon. Harbutt. Cox and Foote. The function was a Jingo success in every way. and was much enjoyed by •ill present.
