THE HALF-HOLIDAY.

TO BE PIXED TO-MORROW The much-vexed question of the halfholiday for Cambridge and Leamington is to be fixed to-morrow when a representative of the Cambridge Borough Council (Cr A. Wilkinson) and Mr W. White (chairman Leamington Town Bottrd), will meet at the Borough Council Chambers to decido on what day of the week the half-holiday will be held in future. It is understood that the Leamington representative favours Wednesday, and the Cambridge delegate Saturday. The Act provides that the delegates shall proceed to elect one of their number as chairman, and if they fail to do so, the Mayor shall be called in to act in that capacity. Thus in all probability this step will be found necessary to-morrow, in which case the conference will be able to arrive at a definite decision.
