.APPOINTMENT OF INSTRUCTOR
FIVE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED
The Cambridge Swimming Club met at the Y.M.C.A. rooms on Tuesday evening to further discuss the appoint-
ment of an instructor for the coming .season. Mr J. L. Barnett occupied the chair, there being also present Messrs E. Hall, E. Chambers, A. S. Barker, N. Souter, Iv. impett, W. Wilkinson, and H. Arcda. The secretary, Mir W. Wilkinson, stated that five letters had been received in response to the advertisement which had appeared in the newspapers
of the four principal, centres, inviting applications for the position of instructor to the club for a period of three months this summer. Those w r ho had applied were Messrs Syd. Kean (Auckland), A. E. Wolf gram (Ramarama), W. J. Brennan (Ngaruawahia), H. Somers (Wellington), and G. L. Black The members present felt that it would be in the direct interests of the I t'lub and swimming generally that the most competent man should be appointed.- and the applications were narrowed down to two names, the final decision being left in the hands of a special cornmAktee comprising Messrs Wilkinson,/ Barnett and Impett. This will be made known within the ifext few days.
