Air Boy Manson, who was looked upon as ono of the most promising young cross-country riders, and was a popular jockey, died at the Auckland Hospital yesterday, aged 23 years. Deceased served his apprenticeship with Air Frank Higgott, at Otaki, and during the past few seasons has won many big races. The deaths are reported of the following residents of the Dominion: — Aliss Florence Sheard, M.A., B.Se., senior member of the staff of the Christchurch' Girls’ High School; Airs S. Aiatheson, . Tauranga; Airs W. E. •Jones, of Palmerston North, at the ago of 27 years; Air William Unban, barrister and solicitor, of Christchurch, aged 60 years, and Air James Lopdell, one of Hawke’s Bay’s early settlers.
