OBITUARY
MR. ARCHIBALD WALLACE.
Another old district identity passed away at his residence Williams street, Cambridge, yesterday, in the person of Mr Archibald Wallace. The late gentleman was borne in Scotland 77 years ago, and camo to Auckland by the “Duchess of Argylc” in 1842. Ho farmed at Taraaki West, and Tamaki East, and came to the Waikato in the early 70’s, and has been settled in Pukcrimu and Cambridge ever since. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and took a keen interest in its welfare. He leaves three sons and three daughters. One is farming in the To Aroha district, one is in Canada, and the third is farming in Hawkcs’ Bay. The youngest daughter is Mrs Croxford, who lives in Cambridge. The sympathy of the district is extended to the bereaved relatives.
