Welcome to Rev Cook
Last evening in the Supper room at the Town Hall a welcome was extended to the Rev < G. S. Cook who has taken over the duties formerly conducted by the Rev. Trestrial in connection with the Methodist Church, Cambridge. Mr. M. Butler was in the chair and welcomed Rev. Cook as their new minister. Afterwards Mr. Butler handed Miss Nixon a cheque in recognition of past services as organist. Rev. Cook and Miss Nixon both suitably responded. During the evening an excellent musical programme wag g ne through items being rendered by the following: Mesdames Hildreth, Edmonds. Misses Campbell, McCready, Ona Roberts, and Messrs. Callaway, B yce and Kemsley. The choir also contributed a couple of glees. A dainty supper was provided by the ladies, and the singing of the , National Anthem brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
