By Gable—Frees Association—Copyright Received 9.30 a.m. ' ' London, Jan. 26 A thanksgiving service was held in St. Dunstan’s-in-the-East, conducted by Bishop Harmer of Rochester, and Bishop Thornton. The congregation numbered 150, mostly ladies. Rev. C. E. Doudney, formerly of South Australia, in a stirring sermon on the text “ Righteousness exalteth a nation,” emphasised.the fact that Australia was the only instance of a nation founded with* out bloodshed. He hoped Australia would lead in civilising and Christianising a bad old world.
