FAREWELL SOCIAL.

A very pleasant gathering took Place in the Methodist Church at Leamington last evening, for the purP OSB . of wishing bon voyage to Miss Annie Simpson, who is leaving Cambridge with her father on Monday for a trip abroad, through Canada, Great Britain, etc. The Rev. H. Poston presided and a most enjoyable evening was spent. On behalf of the friends, the chairman presented Miss Simpson with a beautiful travelling rug as a token of respect and esteem, and wished her God-speed during her travels. He also spoke of the many excellent qualities and the valuable work done by Miss Simpson. Messrs C, S. Beer, J. Carter and Mrs Jamieson all spoke on behalf of the workers. After a most enjoyable evening, during which refreshments were handed round, "Auld Lang Syne ’ was sung, and the pro-, ceedings biought to a successful close.
