HON. MCNAB AT CHEVIOT.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION). Christchurch, This Day. The Hon. R. McNab, Minister for Lands, visited Cheviot for the first time yesterday, and unveiled a memorial to the late Mr Seddon in the afternoon. In the evening he spoke on the Land Bill, and received an enthusiastic reception. A strong resolution was carried, amid vigorous applause, endorsing the Land Bill and urging the Government to continue the progressive policy of the late Hon. John Ballance. Mr McNab expresses himself immensely pleased with the pronounced prosperity of the settlement.
