VERNOR'S ROYAL IRISH DRAMA CO.
AEEAH-NA-POGUE. The above company re-appeared at the Alexandra Hall last evening, when they staged Dion Boucicault’s wellknown Irish play, “ Arrah-na-Pogue ” in the presence of a fairly large audience. Mr "V ernor gave a fine interpretation of “ Shaun the Post,” and he was heartily applauded for his faultless acting. During the course of the play, Mr Yerndr contributed “ The Wearin’ of the Green,” with much appreciation, and also danced a jig in true Irish style. Miss Irene Gough faithfully pourtrajed the part of “Arrah Meelish,” and the audience were not slow to show their approval of her efforts. The impersonation of “ Michael Feeney,” the villianous schemer, was ably carried out by Mr R. Oswald. Miss May Bradley performed to advantage as Fanny Powers,” and Mr T. E. Tilton made a good “ Colonel O’Grady.” The other characters were well sustained by—Mr J. H. Lambert, “ Beumish McCoul”; Mr H. Morley, “ Major Coffin ”; Mr W. Appleton, “Winterbottom”; and Mr F. Davenport, “ Oiny Farrell.” TO-NIGHT. To-night, “Robert Emmett” will be produced and ladies will be admitted at half-price.
