ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.

(TO THE EDITOR.) Sir, — I was glad to read jour article in to-day’a paper re alteration of electoral boundaries. I quite agree with you that it would be an absurdity to put Cambridge into the Tauranga electorate. The interests of Te Aroha, Tauranga and Cambridge are totally dissimilar and there is no regular communication between the Waikato and East Coast. In ray opinion—as in yours—Cambridge interests lie altogether with the Waikato. No doubt the Chamber of Commerce will take the matter up and I think the Deputy-Mayor should be asked to call a meeting to discuss the advisability of at once taking steps to make a strong protest ■ to the Representation Commissioners. Perhaps a largely signed petition would carry weight.—l am, etc., F. J. Marfell. December 27th, 1906.
