WAIKATO ELECTORATE.

MEETING OF MR LANG'S SUP. TORTERS.

A large and enthusiastic meeting of Mr Lang's supporters was held in the Farmers' Club Room, Cambridge last night.

Mr James Hally was voted to the chair, and explained the object of the meeting. As he had taken an active part in the last campaign he had been approached by a number of Mr Lang's supporters with a request to call a meeting for the purpose of organising for the forthcoming contest. Mr Lang himself would be busy in Wellington for some time yet and would have little time to devote to the election, and it was important that all those who thought him the right man to represent the district to rally round him and do Ihtir best to secure his election with a good substantial majority. He asked for suggestion as to the best methods of organising in order to secure the best results. Several apologies were received for non-attendance.

After several gentlemen had spoken in eulogistic terms of Mr Lang's ability and the good work he had done for the district, it was decided to form committees in Pukekura, Pukerimu, Mavmgatautari, Haufcapu, Taotaoroa, Fencourt, llotorangi and Cambridge, with a central committee at Cambridge, of which Mr Hallv was appointed chairman and convener.

Several gentlemen from a distance from districts just on the borders of the Waikato electorate kindly accepted a position on the Committee and promised their hearty co-operation in trying to secure Mr Lang's election. _ Information was received that other districts in the electorate were organising in a similar manner, and arrangements are being made for a vigorous campaign.
