The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— CAMBRIDGE SALE. We held our monthly stock sale at Cambridge on Monday last, when we yarded 929 head of cattle, comprising 156 beef, 548 mixed stores, and 225 springers; also sheep and pigs. There was a keen demand for all classes, and we made a total clearance at the following prices:— Prime fat cows £lO 2s 6d to £ll 10s, good cows £7 His to £9 12s 6d, medium £6 12s 6d to £7, cows in fresh condition £4 16s to £5 15s, 2-year-old empty heifers £3 13s 6d to £3 18s, 18-months-old steers £4 2s to £4 10s, 12 to 15-tnonths-old steers £2 19s to £3 15s, heifers £2 10s 6d to £2 18s, mixed yearlings £2 7s (id to £2 16s, dairy cows in milk (on account of Mr E. McCandlish) £8 10s to £ll ss, other dairy cows close to profit £7 to £lO 10s, choice heifers £Bto£lo lEs, others £5 12s 6d to £7 ss, fat ewes £1 Is (id, hoggets 18s 10a to £1 2s (id, weaner pigs 12s to 16s (id, slips 18s0d to £1 2s 6d, porkers £1 7s to £2 2s 6d. CLEARING SALE. We held n clearing sale at Paterangi on Wednesday last, on account of Mr 11. Webb, when there was a very large attendance of buyers. and the live stock, implements, etc., realised excel!, it prices.
