HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL.
A meeting ef the Hamilton High School Uoard of Governors was held this afternoon. Mr George Edgecumbe chairman, presided, the other members present being:- Messrs J. W. Ellis, H. J. Greenslade, C L, MacDiarniid, J. E. Tidd, C. J. W. Barton' and Rev. A. Gow
Leave of absence was granted to Mr J. S. Bojid. A letter from the Education Department intimated that it whb recognised that the work of completing the additions to the school must go on.—Received as satisfactory. The Principal wrote suggesting that the annual school sports should be on Wednesday of the second week in November. Last year the sports were much appreciated by the scholars as well as by parents and friends. They would make arrangements similar to those of last year, and try to make the function a successful one.—The suggestion was approved and the grant of A'l2 made last year was repeated. Accounts amounting to £3B were passed for payment.
