The hockey match, English Ladies v. New Zealand, resulted in a win for the former by oto 5. Ihe game was fast throughout. England led in the first spell by 3 to 1, but New Zealand evened the scores within a few minutes after the resumption of play, and then created excitement by leading 4byto 3. Then the visitors agalc evened the scores, and in the last minute secured the winning goal.
