BIBLE CLASS RALLY

the members of the Waikato Presbyterian Bible Classes held a rally in Hamilton, and despite unfavourable weather conditions, about 70 were present, some of them having come from places as far distant aa Auckland, Rotorua, and Mamaku. The rally commenced at 4 p.m., when, after Rev. A. (low. of Hamilton, had heartily welcomed the visitors, Mr Ramsay read a paper on "Looking Ahead," briefly summarising the present condition and proapects of Bible Class work in the district, and suggesting lines of advance. There were, he said, some 25 Bible ClaSses within the bounds of the Presbytery, and of these 14 with a membership of more than IHO were now affiliated to the unions, while the rapid rise of the district and the expectation of further and more rapid development made the prospects of advance brighter, perhaps than in any other part of the Dominion.

A Rood discussion followad, after which tea was handed round, and a merry time of conversation ensued. The meeting resumed with the singing of a hymn, after which Miss Mitchell read a splendid paper on "Missions," which was followed by a good discussion. General regret was expressed at the non-appearance of a paper by* Mr Burnett, of Auckland, on the "One Get One" movement inaugurated at the Young Men's Easter Camp at Chri3tchurch. The paper had been posted in Auckland on Tuesday, but owing to the public holiday could not be obtained at the Post Oliice. A hymn entitled "One Get One," written by Mr G. A. Troup, of Wellington, the founder of the Bible Class movement, was then sung, after which the crowning address of the evening was given by Rev. A. Gow, his subject being "Getting to Bedrock." After the discussion there was a roll call of classes, and the gathering closed with the singing of the Doxology and the Benediction

The general opinion of those present was that the gathering was perhaps the best of its kind ever held in Waikato.
