•■ A TRIO OF LABOUR ORGANISERS. NOT WANTED IN AFRICA. Johannesburg, Marsh 3. The report that Messrs Tom Mann. Ben Tillett and James Larkin are visiting South Africa to re-organise the Labour Party has caused a sensation. No law exists to prevent them landing, but they will be tmrred if the Preservation of the Peace Bill be passed unamended. i London, March 4.
A statement has been made by Mr G. Lansbury, ex-Labour M.P. for Bow and Bromley, to the effect that other prominent Labour leaders are following Mr Mann to carry on the deported men's work, and test whether Englishmen are allowed to live in a British colony.
The Daily Mail states that the Women's Suffrage Societies are financing the visit to South Africa.

The Chapman Commission recommends the appointment of a Commissioner to adminisier industrial legislation; also the establishment of Conciliation Boards, the voluntary registration of trade unions, regulation of shop hours, and a Factories Act.
