By Telegraph.—Press Association. Huntly, Monday. John Hurst, a recent arrival, was killed at the level crossing near Huntly station on Saturday. Hurst was carried some distance. Death was instantaneous. Christchurch, Monday. Albert Ceilings, aged 42, a fellmonger at Islington, committed suicide by shooting hinv ;lf in the mon*h. Dunedin, Monday. The railway porter, Lawrence Keffery, who met with a serious accident while shunting at Lawrence railway station, succumbed to his injuries. Cure, Monday. A. Liddell, a farmer, was found lying on the road near his home, and his horse standing by. He was only able to say that the horse had rolled on him before he died. Invercargill, Monday. Daniel Sinclair, aged 54, a single man, employed as a gardener, was found drowned in the Waihapi river. Apparently in crossiing he got stuck in the soft rnud. Martin Scully, a sawmill hand, was taken to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound. While sweeping out a room he knocked over a loaded weapon which exploded, the charge entering his chest. His condition is critical.
