Bombs from an Airship
SUCCESSFULLY DROPPED UN WARSHIPS. Received 9.25 a.im, 23rd. New York, June 22. The first use of aeroplanes for dropping bombs or. warships occurred in Guaymas Harbour, where Mason, a French aviator, employed by the Mexican rebels, forced the Federal gunboats to take refuge in the open sea when the bombs fell on the decks.
Mason reported killing 50 Federals by dropping bombs in the trenches round Guaymas.
