The Prince of Wales will welcome M. Poincare on behalf of King George at Portsmouth on Tuesday, when he will hoist his flag after receiving the honours due to the heir apparent. One of the two Australian submarines, now being built in England, was successfully launched yesterday from the works of Messrs Vi:kers, Sons and Maxim at Barrow. At the Methodist Conference the Rev. Mr Spence (New Zealand) said that the separation from New Zealand had been carried out in a brotherly spirit.
