Mrs Pankhnrst at the a Pviiion congratulated the militants who damaged the golf green, which she said was extremely ingenious and effective, as prominent front-benchers think more of golf than governing. The women, she said, are preparing all sorts of other effective strokes. Received 10.55 a.m., sth. London, February 4. A suffragette was arrested breaking seven large shop windows in Holborn. A pillar-box was burnt in Northumberland Avenue and a large number of letters destroyed. Margaret Morrison was fined £2O or a month for throwing pepper at a constable at Leven.
