RANGIAOHIA ROAD BOARD

At the meeting of the above board there were present Messrru Cavanagh. chairman, McGhic, Ramsay and Long. The question of Turner's road was held over pending further communications from the Railway Department in regard to crossing?. The chairman explained that Mr Turney would ex change the new road for the old, Die hoard to pay the cost of the transfer. Tho hoard's supervisor reported that ha had let the work at Glassuu's Dill to Riley at Is a yard. The work in grading the three hills would involve the removal of about 2800 yards of earth. In connection with a protest from Mr 11. I. Jones in regard to removal of gravel and claiming payment fur the amount taken, the clerk was instructed to inform Mr Junes that the gravel was being removed from part of the road, and the hoard would continue to use the pit. The question as between the hoard and tho town hoard in regard to metalling Storey’s road, which is on the boundary, was held over.
