WIIATAWIIATA RACING CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the above club was held at the Whatawliata Hotel on Saturday evening, Mr W. D. Laxoa being in the chair. The secretary reported a license having been received from the Minister for Internal Affairs. It was decided to advertise the programme in the local papers. A course committee was appointed, with authority to have improvements effected forthwith. Mr J. Chadwick was appointed handicapper, and several new members were elected.

The stewards of the Canterbury Jockey Club met during the afternoon to consider the running of Gold Bird in the Hurdle races at the meeting, and as a result disqualified the horse and the trainer (G. Pritchard) and rider (Coleman) on the first and second days for twelve months, for inconsistent running.
