EXPLOSION ON A SUBMARINE. Received 8.30 a.m., 28th. Rome, April 27. Whilst storing petrol an explosion occurred on the Italian submarine Foca. Seven were killed and 13 wounded. The Foca was sunk to prevent further explosions.

THE WRIGHT AEROPLANES. Received^.3o a.m., 28th. London, April 27. Wilbur Wright, demonstrating the possibility of dispensing with start ing rails uplifted his aeroplane 200 ft. from the bare ground. He comes to England on Wednesday.
