BOROUGH PROGRAMME.

TO THE EDITOR. Sin, —I perceive that Councillor Brewis has succeeded in persuading his fellow wiseacres on the Council to father his tram lino scheme from Fraukton to Hill’s boardinghouse. I would respectfully suggest the addition of a scheme for an aerial balloon service from, say. Bakehouse across the Rukuhia swamp to Tuhikaramea. It Would be a pleasant and exciting experience and have the advantage, in the event of anything happening the bally balloon, that it would be the height of bad luck if you didn’t fall oil'. It may be urged that the airship is in its infancy, but I don’t think that argument need weigh, as there will be plenty of time before the tramcar is running for the airship to be perfected.—l am, etc., Borax.
