CHURCH MEETINGS.

WAIKATO WESr PRESBYTERIAN. The annual meeting of the committee ci the above church was held iu Te Awamutu on Friday last. The Rev. S, W. Eutrican presided, and ten members of the committee, representing Kihikihi, I'e Awatnutu, Paterangi, Te Rore, aud Ohdupo, wera present. The principal business waf to consider the financial position for the year. The hun. secretary and treasurer, MrGerinunn, read the balance sheet as follows : Receipt-, including collections aud subscriptions, and balance brought forward oi £47 0s 5d : Te Awatnutu, £SB 81 4d ; Paterangi, £54 0s 4d ; Te Rore, £34 15s; Kihikihi, £3l Is 4d ; Oluupo, £23 lis 8d ; TuhiKaramea, £lO IBs 6d ; total, £259 13-, 7d. Expenditure : Rev. S. VV. iinencau'd stipend, £l5O ; donation —R. Kay £lO, Rev. Entrican £B, Miss Entrican, £8 ; legal expenses, £5 4s; Cruickshank (shed), £9 lbs : tanks ai Man-o, £5 lis; numerous umall amounts, £32 0s 5d ; balance in Bauk, £33 8s 2d ; total, £259 13s 7d. The treasurer said they had to record the lohs of a most worthy member during the year by the departure of Mr H. Goodfellow. There was a debt of £32 owing to him by the committee in connection with the purchase of the Manse, and just previous to his departure he returned the p.n. to the committee. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Goodfellow, the fact to De recorded on the minutes that owing to his kindness J tne church is now free of debt. It was decided that Mr Robert Kay again receive the sum of £lO for bis kindness iu taking many services during the year, aod further that the committee grant a sum up to £l2 to buy a gotd horse for Miss Eutrican. A sum of £5 was also voted to the Kihikihi committee towards painting their church. A vote ol thanks was passed to Messrs Germann and Ryburn for past services, and they were re-cleoted secretarytreasurer and auditor respectively. In the evening a soc al was held io the Town Hall, whicn was attended by maoy members of the congregation aud others. The sum of £5 15s was taken at the door. Ihe Rev. S. VV. Lutricau again presided, and with him on the platform were Revs. Wodderspoon, Adams and Klliott. The following was the programme :—lnstrumental duet, ' Tincredi,' by the Misses Bowman and Maclty ; reading of balanceshiet aud treasurer's report; song, 'He Wipes the Tear from Every Eye,' Miss Ross; vocal duet, Misses Entrican andGermann ; speech, Rev. E. Adaniß; vocal duet, Mrs Ahier aud Miss Steel; anthem, the choir; violin solo, Miss Bow den ; recitation, Rev. G. Elliott ; song, Mrs Ahier; speech, Rev. C. Wcddetspoon. The doxology having been sung, refreshments were served. Votes of thanks were accorded to all who had kindly helped to make the gathering such a success. Mrs W. H. Mandeno deserves speoial mention for taking charge of the tables.—(A Correspondent). ST. PAUL'S, RANGIAOHIA. The annual meeting ol the congregation of St. Paul's Church was held ou Sunday laßt, May Ist, the vicar (the Rev. McWilliam) presiding. The usual reports aud balance-sheet were read oy Mr 11. G. Cruickshank, people's warden, and unanimously adopted. The following were elected to office for the ensuing year ; Vicai's warden, Mr C. J. Storey ; peoples' warden, Mr A. H. Storey ; vestrymen, Messrs Bell, Park, King, junr., and Cottrell. The Rev. MoWilliam having made feeling refereucc to the departure of Mrs Cruickshank and family and the loss caused to the church thereby, the meeting closed with the Benediction.
