WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.
(ry telegraph—press association). Wellington, This Day. Sir J. G. Ward has received a cable from the Agent-General, informing him that in the opinion of Lord Kelvin it is practicable to connect Fanning Island nod Honolulu by wireless telegraphy. Tho distance is about a thousand miles. Sir J. G. Ward has replied that New Zealand would take no hasty action, and that iu vlow remarkable development of wireless telegraphy would pursue a waiting policy in order to ascertain whether it could he successfully established oversuch a distance.
