CUTTER WASHED ASHORE.
(BY TKLHfIRAPH—•PRESS ASSOCIATION), WKLLiNfjTON, Last Night. A warship's cutter was washed ashore at Pallisor Bay last week. It was marked with the letter " M," and is supposed to belong to the Mildura, which took the Governor to Cook Islands last week. The Duco left at miduight to search the coast line for wreckage. As the weather was very rough when the Mildura left, it is considered probable that the boat was lifted off the davits aud broke way. The search ia regarded as a inert! formality. The steamer Duco, which was depatchbd to make a search in the vicinity of Palliaerßay for wreckage", found none, and the lighthousa-keeper reported that he, had uot seen auythiug. No doubt the Mildura's boat was lorn from its fastings.
