HAMILTON BOWLING CLUB.

The adjourned meeting of those interested in forming a Bowling Club in Hamilton was held at the Hamilton Hotel last evening, Present: Messrs Q-. W. Sare (Chairman), von Stunner, Gwynue, Brookfield, Taylor, Saudes, Purdic and Cox.

The committee appointed at last meeting presented the following report:—l. That Mr Taylor's terms for the use of his lawn are as follows: The club to pay him a lump sum down of £ls to cover expenditure already incurred. Mr Taylor to give the club a rive years' lease of the ground at a rental of £5 per annum after the first year, for which period no lent will be payable. The club to have the right to remove at any time any buildings they may erect or improvements they may make on the property. 2. Assuming that the club accepts Mr Taylor's terms, the Provisional Committee estimate that the necessary expenditure for the first year will amount to £45, and they recommend that the entrance fee be fixed at 10s 6d and the subscription at 10s 6d, together one guinea for the first year and thereafter half-a-guinea. They recommend adoption of the rules of the Auckland Bowling Club, with small uecessary amendments, which are submitted herewith.

A desultory discussion took place, the general opinion being that the meeting was not sufficiently representative tocome to a decision, and Mr Cox moved that the committee and Mr Taylor see the proposed members as to whether they would definitely join the club, and report to a meeting to he held on Fiiday next, 22nd.—Seconded by Mr Sandes and carried.
