(by telegraph—press association). Wellington, Last Night. HON. G. F. PICHARDSON'S BANKRUPTCY. Hon. G. F. Riuuardscn applied for his discharge at the Bankruptcy Court today. It was opposed on behalf of Mr Cummins, a creditor. Judge Edwards said there was nothing to support any suggestion of misleading the creditors or showing fraudulent preference, and the discharge must be granted. GOVERNMENT CAUCUS. The usual weekly caucus of the Government party was held to-day. It was found that the extra number of membtrs who would have voted against Capt. Russell's amendment was nine, thus making the Government majority on a no-confidence motion fifteen. It was understood that the necessary legislation would be introduced with the Police Commission and other reports. It was announced that the Immigration Restriction Bill would be on similar Hues to the Natal Act. The Premier stated that the order of business as on the Order Paper would be adhered to.
