A farmer, named Lewis, living near Beechworth, in a fit of aberration jumped SO feet into a well with his 13 months' old child in his arms. The child was drowned and Lewis slightly injured. THE WRECK OF THE GRAFTON. HOBART, July 4. The Court of Inquiry into the wreck of the steamer Grafton, has been found to have proceeded irregularly. The Government have, therefore, returned the captain's certificate.
