BURGLARY AT THEATRE.
MANAGER’S OFFICE FORCED OPEN. NOTHING OF VALUE TAKEN. PALMERSTON N., (September 6. Between Saturday night and this morning thieves entered the Mayfair Theatre, in George Street, forced open the manager’s office, and did considerable damage. Papers were strewn about the floor and drawers ransacked, but nothing of value was removed. A safe, which contained a valuable collection of used stamps, was untouched.—(P.A.)
