CARTERTON CLUB. RESULT'S OF SATURDAY'S PLAY. An L.G.U. medal round played on Saturday by lady members of the Carterton Golf Club resulted as follows:— Silver medal: Miss Fisher, 98, 17, 81; Mrs. B. Booth, 99, 17, 82; Mrs. Callender, 100, 18, 82; Mrs. Steel, 91, 8, 83. Bronze medal: Miss Booth, 95, 23, 72; Miss Smart, 104, 29, 75; Miss Moncrieff, 107, 28, 79. CAPTAIN’S TROPHY. The final round in the captain's trophy matches was played on the laratahi links on Saturday last, when the strong wind proved the downfall of many of the lower handicap men. Out-of-bounds added many strokes to scores, and numbers of cards were torn up. Tre winner was B. J. Fisher, handicap 13, who returned a net 131 for the two rounds. His gross scores were 78 and 79.
