The New Zealand Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report having held their usual w’eekly sale yesterday. Prices were as follow:— Sheep: Fat shorn S.D., 23/3; fat shorn ewes, 18/; fat shorn wethers, 25/7; fat ewes, 26/; b.f. hoggets, 19/6; w.f. wether hoggets, 22/ to 26/; store ewes, 15/, 16/3; aged Romney ram, 12/; aged S.D. ram, 17/6. Cattle: Springing Jersey heifers (good quality), £5/10/, £6/10/, £7/10/; in calf cows (late), £7/12/6; fat heifer, ex dairy, £3/10/. DALGETY & CO., LTD. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Masterton sale as follows:— A medium entry of sheep came forward and attracted a good attendance of buyers. Prices were on a par with those of last week, and a total clearance was effected as follows:—Woolly b.f. hoggets, 24/7; fat 2-tooth Down ewes, 25/7; fat Down ewes, 25/; shorn fat and forward ewes, 17/4. WRIGHT STEPHENSON & CO., LTD. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—A good entry of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at our Masterton sale yesterday and was offered to a large attendance. All classes of stock again sold well and practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer at satisfactory prices as follow:— Sheep: Woolly wether hoggets, 23/8 to 25/; fat ewes (shorn), 24/ to 25/6; fat ewes (woolly), 26/3 to 28/6; forward shorn ewes, to IV/7; fat wethers, to 32/; b.f. hoggets, to 24/3. Cattle: Heifers on drop, £3/15/ to £6; heifers just calved, £3/5/ to £4; forward cows, to £3. Pigs: Weaners (good), 16/6 to 20/; weaners (medium), 14/ to 16/; weaners (small), 10/ to 13/6; slips,. 22/6 to 23/6.
