WIN FOR FOREST DOWNS. During the week-end a match was played between teams of the Makarewa and Forest Downs golf clubs. An even tussle ended in victory for the Forest 'Downs Club, thus evening the y»core as Makarewa were victorious in the first encounter. The following are the detailed results, Makarewa players being mentioned first in every case:— Mrs. Weston and Mrs. F. Tildesley, all square; Mrs. Heckler lost to Miss E. Heckler; Miss J. Bennett lost to Miss M. Tildesley; Miss D. Brunton beat Miss J. Kerr. C. R. Judd lost to R. B. Cameron; P. Neilsen and W. Cheetham, all square; R. Weston lost to D. Brunton; J. MacDonald beat F. Tildesley; W. Heckier lost to E. Cheetham; D. Bennett lost to R. A. Cameron; A. Weston lost to B. Kerr; K. Field lost to H. Maltabar; E. Rolls lost to G. Frederickson.
