NEW PACIFIC SHIPS.
SYDNEY SYNDICATE FORMED. SYDNEY, October 6. Mr. Brendan Dowling, a Sydney accountant and company director, who arrived in Sydney by the Mariposa, said that a syndicate had been formed in Sydney to establish a faster transport aeFvice between North. America, New Zealand, and Sydney, and that two liners would be placed in the trans-Pacifie service as soon as practicable.
(A similar statement was made by Mr. Dowling as he passed through Auckland last week).
