ESPERANTO CLUB.
SOCIAL IN Y.M.C.A. ROOMS. The Masterton Esperanto Club held its final meeting of the year last evening in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms. Mr. G. R. Sykes presided over a largo attendance of members and friends. Visitors were present from the Wellington and Wanganui Esperanto clubs. A most enjoyable programme was presented, the items of which were as follow:—Piano solo, Mrs. W. G. Perry; vocal solos, "Melisande in the Wood” and "I Love tho Moon,” Miss Linda Pike; duets in English and Esperanto, with tambouritza accompaniment, Miss J. Perry and Mr. F. M. Pavlinovich; recitation, "London Life,” Mr. G. R. Sykes; p'iano-aceordion solos, Miss J. McKay; exhibition dance, "American Tap,” Miss B. Holmwood and pupils; string trio from Wellington Esperanto Club, Messrs V. Leek, J. Thomas and J. Thoms; Esperanto item, "La Sesa Kongreso, ” Mr. H. Franks; pianoaccordion solo, Miss J. McKay; dramatic sketch, "Du Homoj,” Wellington Esperanto Club members; Esperanto recitation, Mr. Thoms (Wellington). An address in Esperanto was also given by Mr. Deck, D.8.E.A., president of tho Wellington Club. The accompaniments were played by Mrs. W. G. Perry. After supper a vote of thanks was passed to Mr. Sykes for presiding and to the entertainers. The evening concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
