PUPILS’ ANNUAL CONCERT.
Matters are well in hand for the Masterton Central School pupils’ annual concert to-night and tomorrow evening, and parents and friends are assured of an excellent evening’s entertainment. The play “The Crimson Coc.oanut’’ is described as “an extravagant piece of nonsense in which every part is played for all it is worth, without any attempt at subtlity’’ and this is the spirit in which the children are acting it. Much time has been spent by the parents in preparing the costumes in both the primers’ <4 Pot Pourri” and the cantata “Old Mr. Sundown in Fairyland.’’ The music of this contains some attractive melodies. Dancing, elocutionary, and musical items will add to the attractiveness of the programme and if previous entertainments are any criterion 5t will be necessary to be in attendance early. I
