ORDERS FROM RUSSIA.
BRITAIN GRANTING CREDIT GUARANTEES. TRADE THAT WILL GIVE MUCH EMPLOYMENT. (Received Friday, 11.0 p.m.) RUGBY, July 30. The President of the Board of Trade (Mi. W. Runciman) informed the House of Commons at question time that an agreement was made yesterday between the Export Credits Department and Soviet trade representatives under which the department will give guarantees in connection with orders which Soviet Government organisations will place within the next 12 months for ten million pounds worth of goods, such as will give rise to a substantial amount of employment in this country. They will not include munitions of war.—'(British Official Wireless).
