MISSIONARY AUXILIARY.
METHODIST CHURCH WOR.KKRH ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Women’s Missionary Auxiliary of the Masterton Methodist Church was held at the Methodist Parsonage, Mrs. G. F. Stockwell presiding over a good attendance of members, including a deputation from Eketahuna. Items were given by Miss E. Jones, vocal solo, “My Heart is a Silent Violin;” Miss E. Beale, violin solo, “OaVitina” and by Miss Ivy Donald, recitation, “Cuddle Doon.” The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mrs. G. F. Stockwell; iHce-presidents, Mes dames Cocker, MacDonald, Rutter, Jansen and Jas. McGregor; secretary, Miss E. Beale; treasurer, Mrs. A. Thomas; organist, Miss E. Jones; deputy organist, Mrs. Hansen; corresponding secretary, Mrs. L. Jansen; box organiser, Mrs. C. L. Beale; stamp secretary, Miss Budd; tea convenor, Miss V. Jackson; flower convenor, Mrs. Andrew; press reporter, Miss E. Beale. Votes of thanks were passed to the Press, the hostesses. Mesdames Cocker, Jansen, White and Jamieson; Miss Carter, a retiring officer; Mrs. Beale, the box organiser, secretary and treasurer and the performers. It was announced that a Men’s Fellowship tea would be held on the occasion of the visit of the Home Mission deputation. The annual neport stated that the membership roll totalled 35. Four sackfuls of left-over clothing had been sent to the Home Mission Field and two boxes of goods to the Solomon Islands. The income for the year was £37 14s lOd. The auxiliary was represented at the annual conference and several interesting addresses were given by visitors and other’s during the year. The annual garden party raised a SuYn of £lB, £l5 of which was donated by the Ladies’ Guild to the Auxiliary’s funds.
