Mr. I. I. McGregor, postmaster at Masterton, is at present on annual leave, and is spending his holiday in the South Island. During Mr. MeGregor’s absence, Mr. A. W. Swap, from head office, is acting-postmaster.'
At yesterday’s meeting of the Bt. Matthew’s Andies’ Guild, reference was made by’the Vicar, the Bev. E. J. Bich, to the impending departure from. Masterton of Mrs. H. Armitage, who he said was one of the most faithful and most valued members of the guild. On behalf of guild members Mrs. Armitage was made a presentation by the Bishop, in Jerusalem, who was the speaker for the day. Dr. J. F. Bradbury, son of Mr. J. Bradbury, of Masterton, has passed his examination as a Member of the Royal College of Physicians, London. Dr. Bradbury has been doing post-graduate work in London for about two years past. He will probably return to New Zealand some time next year with hie mother, Mrs. F. 8. Cooper, who is now on her way to the Old Country. Dr. Bradbury is an old pupil of St. Patrick’s School, Masterton, St. Patrick's College, Wellington and the Sacred Heart College, Auckland, where he matriculated. He took his medical degree at Otago University.
