MASTERTON BURGLARIES.
TWO BUILDINGS BROKEN INTO. ABOUT £6 STOLEN. Two burglaries were reported in Masterton on Tuesday night. The garage of Mr. H. A. Harcombe, Church Street, was broken into and the sum of £2 stolen from the safe. The thief gained entrance to the building by breaking a window panel and opening the back door. He found the safe key in the office and opened the safe. The money taken was kept as petty cash and although there were also cheque* in the safe, nothing but the cash was taken. Stimpson’s Motor Cycle Works, Queen Street, were also entered and about £4 in money stolen.
