MOTOR TRUCK WRECKED.
DRIVER KILLED INSTANTLY. ANOTHER CROSSING SMASH. DUNEDIN, July 28. The railway crossing at Allantonwas the scene of a fatality at 11 o'clock this morning when the north-bound Christchurch express travelling at high speed crashed into a two-ton motortruck, smashing it to pieces and killing instantly the driver, Robert Knight, aged 50, a married man, with a family living in Kaikorai. Knight was employed by the Taieri and Peninsula Co., as a truck driver and was on a weekly run to Taieri.—‘(P.A.)
