ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
AUSTRALIA AND WAIRARAPA TO-DAY. MATCH AT MEMORIAL PARK. The most important Association Football match to be staged in Masterton for some years will be played at Memorial Park this afternoon when the Wairarapa representatives will meet the touring Australian eleven. The visitors are reported to be a brilliant combination and they should provide a sparkling exhibition of the code. The match will commence at 2.30 p.m. and a curtain-raiser will be played, starting at 1.15 p.m. The visitors will be given a civie welcome by the Mayor, Mr. T. Jordan, in the Municipal Chambers at noon today, to which residents of town and country are cordially invited.
