METHODIST CHURCH.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Methodist Men’s Fellowship was held on Tuesday evening in the Bible Class room when the President, Mr. F. E. Wells, presided over a good atendance. The meeting opened with prayer and the singing of hymns. The president then introduced Mr. F. G. Rutter, who spoke, “How can the Men’s Fellowship best help the Church.” In his address Mr. Rutter mentioned several ways that a Fellowship member could play his part. Firstly, he could help spread the gospel through all the world, by joining up and being an active member of the church; secondly, by loyalty to the church through all adversity, and devoting as much as was within him towards the minister and church officials, and thirdly by making a point of attending the Sabbeth services thus setting and living up to the example he was trying to reveal to those round about him. Mr. Rutter having introduced the subject left many thoughts to be expressed by a large number of those present during a very helpful discua sion which followed. The president sincerely thanked the speaker for his very fitting remarks, also those who had taken part in the discussion. The motion was enthusiastically carried by acclamation. The next meeting was arranged for September 10 when the Fellowship is to extend a welcome to the Home Mission deputation and as many friends as desire to be present at tea at 6.15 p.m. A very helpful and enjoyable meeting was closed by the singing of a hymn and the pronouncing of the bene- , diction.
