PERSONAL.
There was a large attendance of mourners at the funeral yesterday afternoon of the late Mrs. G. M. Ewington, the many beautiful’ wreaths providing evidence of the esteem in which she was held. The Rev. J. E. Jones officiated and the pall bearers wefro Messrs C. Pickering, E. Revell, J. Pickering, J. Ralston, W. Harding and J. Pain. The marriage took place 6n >Saturday of Catherine, youngest daughter of Mrs. J. Mac Kay, East Taratahi, and the late Mr. John Mac Kay, of Wangaehu, to James, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bennett, Tinui. The Rev. Father Dillon performed the ceremony. A reception was afterwards held at the Country Women’s Club, immediate friends of the bride and bridegroom being present.
