WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
MEETING AT TINUI. A meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute was held in the Tinui Hull on Thursday, Mrs S. O’Hara being in the chair. Miss Burton, of Mastertan, gave a talk and practical demonstration on the 4 * Art of Choosing a Wallpaper.” The competition for the day, a. child *s woollen garment, was won by Mrs Carmen, with Mrs D. Campbell second and Miss Townsend third. These garments were sent to the Plunket Society for distribution. The hostesses for the day were Mrs Horsbrugh, Miss J. Groves and Miss Edmonds. During the afternoon Mrs A. Street was presented with a cup for obtaining the most points during the year for the home competitions.
