MOUNTAIN MANOEUVRES.
DUKE OF GLOUCESTER’S BUSY DAY. (Received Thursday, 8.35 p.m.) LONDON, May 27. Hatiess and wearing plus fours, the Duke of Gloucester and a party of officers all in mufti participated in all-day manouevres in a mock battle in the Merionetshire mountains. The Duke lunched _on a packet of sandwiches from his pocket and quenched his thirst at a mountain stream. One brief spell in a strenuous day was to listen to a broadcast of the Derby on the portable radio.
