MR. THOMAS RETIRES.
SEAT, returned to king. LONDON, May 26. The King gave an audience of forty minutes to the late Colonial Secretary (Mr. J. H. Thomas) for the handing over of the seal of office. (Mr. Thomas handed in his resignation on Friday because he felt unable to pull his full weight in the Cabinet because of the references to hie private affairs during the inquiry into the alleged Budget leakages).
