Prince Starlmmberg . and the Heimwehr have gone into opposition against the SrfHftchnigg Cabinet. A communique issued after a two hour meeting ’’of'., the Heimwehr states: “The Heimwehr leaders are firmly determined, to fight in the future as in the past for the aims of the Heimwehr. ’ ’ Prince Starhemberg presided at the Heimwehr meeting, which was attended by all Heimwehr provincial leaders, who swore allegiance to Prince Starhemberg, whose new programme, it is stated, consists of only one point, “Arm the Heimwehr tq the teeth,” despite Dr. Schusehnigg’s intention to disarm it. The Vice-Chancellor, Herr E. Baar Baarenfels, becomes, with Herr Weninger, at present leader of the Upper Austrian Heimwehr, DeputyChief of the Heimwehr General Staff. Count von Sturgkh takes over the Styrian command from Baron Waldenegg, who goes to Rome as Austrian Minister. Herr Baarenfels apd other Heimwehr members of, the' 1 ' Cabinet do not propose to resign from the Government, but it remains to be seen whether Dr. Schusehnigg will kebp them. The Heimwehr headquarters have been moved from Vienna to Linz.
